The tradition of Sikh Gurus of protecting Hindu Dharma and the nation is a characteristic of Sanatan Dharma : Sadguru (Dr.) Charudatta Pingale, National Guide, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti
Guru Tegh Bahadur sacrificed himself for the protection of Hindus, especially Kashmiri Pandits. The tradition of Sikh Gurus is a feature of Sanatan Dharma. Sikhs of the Namdhari, Nilang or Nirmal sects have been working to protect Hindu Dharma and India for hundreds of years. This work will continue in the future. Some so-called Sikhs who have become Christians, as well as a few others, are demanding Khalistan; but the majority of Sikhs want to stay in India.
