Admissions open from June 2025 at Pune campus

Pune – Savitribai Phule Pune University will start offering a postgraduate diploma course in the subject of ‘Temple Management’. This 6-month course will provide guidance on the skills of temple management in a professional manner, as well as the social, economic and cultural aspects of temple management. The admission process for this course will be started from February in the university’s Nashik campus and from June in Pune. (Congratulations to the university for starting this ‘Temple Management Course’ initiative. Every devout Hindu feels that this course should not be looked at from a commercial perspective, but it should serve the purpose of following Dharma, increasing the spiritual importance of temples, propagating Dharma and through all this, achieving the objective of creating a religious society – Editor).
The university has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the organization ‘Temple Connect’ for this course. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Suresh Gosavi, founder of ‘Temple Connect’ Girish Kulkarni, senior nuclear scientist Dr. Suresh Haware were present.
“Through this course, a new generation of micro temple managers will be created. Therefore, significant results are expected from this course. Students can come for education not only from the State but also from all over the country,” said Vice Chancellor Dr. Gosavi.
“The Temple Management Diploma is the next step in the field of temple management. The aim is to prepare students for innovative and sustainable changes in the temple ecosystem. In the near future, there are plans to start a 6-month certificate course, a 1-year diploma and a 2-year Master of Science (MBA) in Temple Management,” said the Vice Chancellor.
