Incident at Pachora (Jalgaon)

Jalgaon – On the evening of January 22nd, an incident occurred near Pardhade station, a short distance from Pachora in Jalgaon. Passengers sitting at the door of a coach on the Pushpak Express saw sparks between the train’s wheels and the tracks and believed that a fire had broken out. Rumors of a fire spread in some compartments, prompting passengers to pull the emergency chain, stopping the train on a bridge.

Some passengers panicked and jumped out of the train. At the same time, the Karnataka Express, travelling at high speed from Karnataka to Delhi, approached the adjacent track. The collision with the speeding train resulted in the immediate death of 11 passengers and left 8 others injured.
Villagers from nearby areas rushed to help the passengers. Following the incident, the Pushpak Express was halted at the site for some time. Trains at Bhusawal and other stations were also stopped, potentially causing disruptions in railway traffic.
