He even references Akbaruddin Owaisi’s controversial “15 minutes” remark, cautioning Hindus to stay alert
Prayagraj (UP) – “If the Police were to step aside for just 15 minutes, we will show 100 crore Hindus what we can do,” this controversial statement was made by AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi a few years ago. Responding to this remark, Uttar Pradesh MLA and President of the Jansatta Dal Loktantrik Party, Raghuraj Pratap Singh, popularly known as Raja Bhaiya, expressed his views. He remarked, “If we seriously consider the statement made by the leader from Bhagyanagar, much of what he said is accurate. If such a scenario were to occur, nearly half the Hindus would be wiped out instantly. After all, what do we have ? We are neither increasing our population nor securing Government-approved weapons for self-defence. In this aspect, Muslims are ahead of Hindus.” Raja Bhaiya made these remarks at an event organised by the “Divya Prem Seva Mission” during the Maha Kumbha. He called on the Hindu community to focus on self-defence, obtaining Government-approved weapons, and social reforms.

Key highlights of Raja Bhaiya’s address,
1. Carrying weapons for protecting Dharma and culture is our tradition
Protecting culture cannot be achieved merely through religious texts; weapons are also essential. Nalanda University was destroyed by a Muslim invader, where invaluable manuscripts burned for months. We should take inspiration from figures like Deity Shriram and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Carrying weapons for protecting Dharma and culture is our tradition.
2. Hindus must unite for self-defence
At present, Hindus are neither increasing their population nor stockpiling weapons. Attacks during idol immersion ceremonies and terrorist activities are rising. The Hindu community must unite themselves and implement measures for self-defence. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj inspired people by establishing the Hindavi Swarajya, showing the power of a united community in preserving identity and existence.
3. Learn from Muslims
Hindus should learn from the unity and dedication Muslims display toward their religion. We, too, need to exhibit similar readiness and commitment toward our Dharma.
4. The need for an army and armed forces
Indian military and armed forces are the backbone of the country’s security. A small country like Israel has maintained its existence through its armed forces.
Editorial PerspectiveHindus have the right to keep Government-approved weapons for self-defence. However, to prevent such a situation from arising, Governments need to act proactively. Yogi Adityanath led UP Government is taking proactive steps. It is time for all states to follow suit. |
