Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistani citizens, distressed by the poverty and deteriorating conditions in their own country, are crossing every boundary to settle abroad. Some beg in Saudi Arabia under the guise of Hajj or Umrah, while others engage in thefts and robberies in foreign lands. This has prompted over seven countries to take stringent action against them. According to Pakistani news channel Samaa News, countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and China have deported 258 Pakistani citizens back to their homeland. Of these, 16 were arrested in Karachi upon arrival for violating various legal processes.
1. A total of 232 individuals were deported from Saudi Arabia and 21 from the UAE, including 7 beggars. Among those deported from Saudi Arabia, 16 individuals had
overstayed their visas despite expiry.
2. China, considered Pakistan’s closest ally, has also expelled Pakistani citizens. In addition, Qatar, Indonesia, Cyprus, and Nigeria have each deported one Pakistani
national.
