Arrested from a Hotel in Ujjain

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) – A case of love jihad has come to light here. Police recently arrested a Muslim man, Saif Ahmed, who was staying in a hotel under a fake Hindu identity card. A Hindu woman was also found with him at the hotel.
According to the information received, members of Hindu organizations learned that a Muslim man was staying under a Hindu name at the Eklavya Hotel near the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. Upon visiting the hotel and checking the register, they found an entry under the name “Prakashkumar Gupta” who was staying with a Hindu woman. This raised suspicion, and they called the man out for questioning, during which it was revealed that his real name was Saif Ahmed.
Saif Ahmed is a resident of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, and the woman found with him is also from Bhilai. A case has been registered against Saif Ahmed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The victim stated that Saif had falsely claimed to be Hindu. Hindu activists accused Saif of bringing the woman to Ujjain under the pretense of visiting the Mahakal Temple.
Editorial PerspectiveDespite the anti-love jihad law in Madhya Pradesh, incidents of love jihad continue to emerge from the state, indicating that these perpetrators have no fear of the law. This highlights the urgent need for the government to introduce provisions for the death penalty for such offenders. |
