Attempted sabotage by placing gas cylinder on railway tracks in Pune

Crime registered against unknown person

Pune – An attempt to sabotage the railway track at Uruli Kanchan has come to light. A major accident was averted due to the vigilance of Shatabdi Express loco pilot R. T. Wani. The incident came to light at 11:45 p.m. on the night of December 30th when a cylinder was found on the railway track heading towards Pune near railway electricity pole kilometer number 219/7-5 in the limits of Uruli Kanchan. A case has been registered against unknown persons at Uruli Kanchan Police station in this case. Railway Police officer Sharad Walke has filed the complaint. The Police are investigating who placed the filled cylinder on the railway track and for what purpose.

According to the information given by the Police, while R.T. Vani was going towards Pune, he found a gas cylinder of Priya Gold Company on the other track from Urali Kanchan to Pune. This cylinder contained 3 thousand 900 grams of gas. He moved the cylinder away from the railway track and foiled the plot of an unknown person to cause an accident. Sharad Walke informed the Police and seniors about this matter.
