Prayagraj – This year, for the first time in the history, Shankaracharya Swami Bharathi Tirth of Sringeri Peeth will attend the Mahakumbh Parva here, informed Mela officer Vijay Kiran Anand. Shankaracharya has accepted the invitation and has been given land on the Shankaracharya Marg. For the first time in history, a tent of Sringeri Muth will be set up during the Mahakumbh Parva. Shankaracharya Swami Bharathi Tirth will reside at the Kumbh Kshetra from January 25th till January 30th . He will take a dip in the holy Triveni Sangam on the day of Mauni Amavasya, that is, on January 29th. His darshan, satsang and guidance will be organised during these 5 days.

So far, Shankaracharyas of Sharada, Jyotish and Puri Peethas have participated in the Kumbh Parva; but this is the first time that Shankaracharya of Sringeri Peeth is participating in the Kumbh Parva.
