Prayagraj – Children will also come along with the devotees coming for the Mahakumbh Parva. Keeping this in mind, the railway administration will set up a separate child rights cell at the railway stations for their safety. This cell will be functional only for the safety of children. Only officers and employees who are sensitive to child rights will be appointed in this cell. This team will work to protect children who have lost their parents, run away from home, lost their way or have been forcibly abandoned by their parents. The railway department has appealed to the parents to keep information like the name of the child, father’s name, complete address and mobile phone number in the pocket of the child, so that it will be easier to help the child in case of emergency. Along with this, a special cell will be set up at the Prayagraj railway station by the Women and Child Development Department.
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights had directed to formulate a special plan for the safety of children. Accordingly, the above decision has been taken.
