Ranchi, Jharkhand – The intrusion of Bangladeshi Muslims continues unabated in Santhal Pargana and other parts of Jharkhand. Reports have revealed discrepancies, such as the issuance of more Aadhaar cards in several districts than the actual population. Statistics supporting these claims are available. In the past, concerns were also raised about the unusual increase in the number of voters in the state. (Intruders are exploiting India’s already limited resources, which is negatively affecting the economy. 1. Aadhaar Card discrepancies in Santhal Pargana districts

  • In Sahibganj (Santhal Pargana, Jharkhand), the estimated population as of October 2024 was 13.8 lakh, yet 14.53 lakh Aadhaar cards have been issued—accounting for 104% of the population.
  • Similarly, in Pakur, the population stands at 10.89 lakh, while 11.36 lakh Aadhaar cards have been issued, again surpassing the population with 104% issuance.
  • Lohardaga has also reported discrepancies, with a population of 5.58 lakh but 6.08 lakh Aadhaar cards issued, indicating 108% issuance.

2. Investigation by Central Intelligence Agencies

  • The Union government recently dispatched a team of intelligence agencies to investigate the infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims in the Santhal Pargana region.
  • The team visited multiple locations in Sahibganj to gather evidence related to illegal infiltration and Aadhaar card irregularities.

3. Legal action on infiltration

  • The Jharkhand High Court is currently hearing a case on the issue of illegal infiltration in the state.
  • The court has instructed the government to conduct a survey of Bangladeshi intruders and take necessary measures to deport them.
