Ban on beef in Goa will lead to toppling of BJP Government

MLA Rafiqul Islam criticises BJP Government of Assam on imposition of ban on serving  beef in restaurants 

Guwahati (Assam) – The State cabinet should not decide what people should eat or wear. BJP cannot ban beef in Goa because it will topple the Government in no time, stated  Rafiqul Islam, MLA and general secretary of ‘the All-India United Democratic Front’ while criticising the Assam Government on the issue of the State Government imposing a ban on serving beef in restaurants.

MLA Islam stated that BJP is governing in every State in North-East, either on its own strength or with the support of its allies. In all States of North-East, beef is consumed or allowed to eat, without any restrictions. BJP doesn’t take such decisions in those States; then why is it doing so in Assam ? There are many problems faced by Muslims, Christians and tribals. There should be discussions on those problems, instead of discussions on what should be cooked in the house, what clothes to wear or what to eat, etc.
