Bangladeshi tourists banned from hotels in Tripura : Tripura Hotel and Restaurant Association

Agartala – Tripura Hotel Association has banned Bangladeshi tourists from hotels and restaurants, amid reported attacks on Hindus in the neighbouring country after ISKCON leader Chinmoy Prabhu’s detention on sedition charges.

Bangladeshi tourists travelling to Tripura will not be able to book hotels or enjoy meals at restaurants after the All Tripura Hotel and Restaurant Owners’ Association announced a temporary ban on their entry into hotels and food outlets in the state.

The top association of the travel sector in the northeast released a statement on Monday, 2ndDecember, temporarily banning  Bangladeshi  tourists from entering hotels and restaurants.

1. Atrocities against Hindu minorities are increasing in Bangladesh. After the formation of the Muhammad Yunus Government there, radical Muslims there are attacking Hindus. Hindus are being prevented from worshipping. Attacks on Hindu temples are increasing. The Indian flag is being insulted in Bangladesh. Since then, protests against Bangladesh have erupted in many parts of India.

2. A private hospital in Agartala recently decided not to treat Bangladeshi nationals.

3. Amid growing concerns around ISKCON leader  Chinmoy Prabhu’s detention in Bangladesh on sedition charges, thousands of people took out a massive rally in Tripura’s capital Agartala.
