Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh) – Maulavi Irshad, a teacher at a government-run madarasa here, was arrested for attempting to rape a 15-year-old girl studying there. He had beaten her up severely after failing to rape her.
On November 19th, when the girl went to the madarasa office for some work, Maulavi Irshad allegedly grabbed her and attempted to rape her by removing her clothes. When the girl tried to scream, he beat her up. After returning home, the girl informed her parents about the incident, leading them to file a police complaint.
Editorial PerspectiveNumerous incidents of similar crimes occurring in madarasas across the country have come to light. There is growing concern about the government’s financial support for such institutions using taxpayer money, largely contributed by Hindus. Many believe that instead of funding these madarasas, the government should consider permanently shutting them down. To achieve this, it is essential for Hindus to unite, organize, and exert pressure on policymakers to address these issues effectively. |
