Mumbai – Congress has created a fake narrative for dividing votes. Is it then wrong to say ‘Batenge to Katenge’ for appealing our people to unite, asked the State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in an interview given to ‘ABP Maza’ news channel on 17th November 2024. The purpose of the ‘Batenge to Katenge’ slogan is for bringing people together and increasing voting, added Shinde.
CM Shinde was asked, was there any conflict with Raj Thackeray since Shiv Sena is contesting its candidate against Amit Thackeray in Mahim constituency. Shinde replied that there has been no difference of opinion or conflict between Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena. A few discussions should have, however, been held in time which didn’t happen. It is, nevertheless, only till elections. After elections, everything will calm down.
On the issue of Maratha reservations, CM Shinde stated, “Mahayuti has been quite clear from the beginning on its stand on reservations for Marathas. Our Government set up a Shinde committee to collect necessary data required for ‘Maratha-Kunabi’ certificates. Maratha community was allotted 10% reservation. It is our stand that while doing justice to the Maratha community, other backward communities should not be done injustice. We don’t say one thing and do something else.”
