New Delhi – Security officials have informed that the terrorists targeted Jammu in the past year. 8 out of 10 Districts of Jammu division have been affected by terrorism and a total of 44 people have been killed. During the past year, a total of 18 soldiers were martyred and 13 terrorists were killed, officials said. Apart from this, 14 civilians have also lost their lives in these attacks.

1. An increase in terrorist attacks in Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Kathua, Udhampur and Jammu Districts of Jammu division has raised the alarm for security forces.
2. According to official figures, 9 persons have lost their lives in terrorist attacks this year in Districts namely Doda, Kathua and Reasi. This was followed by 5 deaths in Kishtwar, 4 in Udhampur, 3 each in Jammu and Rajouri and 2 in Poonch.
Tribute to Martyr Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar
The hunt was on for the terrorists who killed two village guards in Kishtwar. At this time, Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar was martyred while 3 soldiers were injured in an encounter with terrorists in Keswan forest in Kishtwar. Soldiers paid tribute to Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar who died a heroic death in this encounter.
