Findings of ‘Tata Institute of Social Sciences’
Mumbai – Infiltrators from Bangladesh and Myanmar are trying to influence Maharashtra assembly elections, especially Mumbai politics, concluded a study by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). The researchers obtained this information from a study of 3,000 illegal immigrants. The interim report included information on 300 people. Reports said that the infiltrators targeted Govandi, Mankhurd, Mahim (West) and Ambedkarnagar.

Politicians use the infiltrators for vote bank politics
These infiltrators work as unskilled labours in construction or as domestic workers. It is understood from the report that some political people are using them for vote bank politics.
