Written by Neena Rai, a devout Hindu writer from Delhi
New Delhi – This year, we are celebrating the first Diwali after Deity Shriram returned to the Shriram Temple of Ayodhya, that is, after almost 500 years. In this background, a book titled ‘Amazing Ayodhya : The Splendid Ancient City of Lord Rama’ answers questions like why is Shriram’s Ayodhya so extraordinary, what is so special about it that many Hindus risked their lives to preserve it etc. Neena Rai, the author of the book, recently spoke to ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ about her book.
Rai said, “Reading this book will make you understand the profound significance of Ayodhya and ignite a new and exciting sense of pride in being a ‘Hindu’ in your heart.”
The book is published by ‘Bloomsbury India’ and is priced at Rs 335. It is available for purchase on Amazon in both Hindi and English languages. The Hindi book is titled ‘Adbhut Ayodhya : Prabhu Shri Ram ki Divya Nagari’.

Rai further said,
1. After defeating the emperors of the holy land of India, Mughal emperor Babur started brutal atrocities on the innocent Hindus. He committed heinous acts against innocent Hindus. This is why he was given the title of ‘Ghazi’, which means – plunderer of ‘jar’ (wealth), ‘joru’ (women) and ‘zamin’ (land) from the kafirs (those who do not believe in Allah).
2. Babur was well aware that as long as Ayodhya’s Shriram Temple is standing at the birthplace of Deity Shriram and he is being worshipped, the Hindus would not convert to Islam. Consequently, in the year 1528, he demolished the temple and built Babri mosque on its ruins.
3. Despite such devastating destruction, the Hindus did not abandon their faith. Instead, they voluntarily sacrificed themselves literally like matchsticks to keep the flame of Ayodhya burning.
4. Not only the common Hindus sacrificed their lives to keep the glory of Deity Shriram, Ayodhya’s Temple and Ayodhya burning in the hearts of millions, but countless poets and writers also devoted their lives through unceasing writing and singing.
