Karnataka Govt increased the amount given for the Dushhera Ayudha Puja of the Buses from Rs 100 to Rs 250

A small increase in the amount to pacify the drivers and conductors

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) increased the Rs 100 Ayudha Puja expenses to Rs 250. The bus drivers and conductors were angry about the meagre amount for the puja; hence the KSRTC has increased the amount for the expenses of Ayudha puja from Rs 100 to Rs 250. KSRTC in its statement, mentioned that one unit  has 100 to 500 buses. Till the year 2008 the budget per bus for the Ayudha puja was Rs 10. Then in Rs 2009 it was increased to Rs 30 per bus. In 2016 it was made Rs 50 per bus. In 2017 it became Rs 100 per bus. The Transport Minister ordered the increase of the Ayudha Puja allowance per bus from Rs 100 to Rs 250. This revised order has been passed from the year 2024 onwards.

Editorial Perspective

The Karnataka Government is fooling the workers. Will this meagre amount be enough to buy the puja items ? This tiny increase, is the government’s way of showing the people that they are considering the people’s sentiments.
