Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – Final report on implementation of Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand has been prepared. The committee constituted by the State Government will soon submit this report to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Chief Minister Dhami had recently announced that his Government wants to implement the UCC from November 9, Uttarakhand’s foundation day. Uttarakhand will be the first State in the country to do so. The Bill has received the assent of the President on 13th March 2024.
