1. At Kanpur on 2ndOctober around 8 a.m., a goods train was passing near Ambiapur. The loco pilot (driver) saw a fire extinguisher lying on the Howrah-Delhi route.

2. The driver of the goods train stopped the train and informed the control room. A team of Railway Police immediately reached the spot and started investigating. The fire extinguisher found was very old. At first glance, the police thought it was someone’s mischief. (Such incidents keep happening all over India the police should not overlook this as ‘mischief’. It appears to be a railway jihad and the police are expected to investigate the matter. – Editor)

3. A railway track near Ranga village in Sahibganj, Jharkhand was blown up by a blast on the night of 1st October. Due to this powerful blast, a 470 cm piece of the railway track blew away and fell 39 metres away. The place where the explosion occurred, a 3-foot-deep crater also formed.

Editorial Perspective

When such incidents happen one after another in the country, the investigative agencies should have by now taken active cognisance of the matter. It is certain that if this is not stopped then definitely there would be great damage.
