Karnataka BJP MLA, CT Ravi asserts
Chikkamagaluru (Karnataka) – If the Devsthan property is under government control, why not the Waqf board property ? The property may be purchased or given by the government, but the Waqf board should not be allowed to make unauthorised transactions outside the Constitution, asserted BJP MLA CT Ravi. The Union government has taken a step to amend the Waqf Act to stop this irregularity, he clarified.
MLA Ravi added, there is no such law in Pakistan or Arab countries, it is only in India. It should have been amended long back; only for the political advantage and politics this was not done. If there are separate laws for Hindu Deities and Muslim God, how can it be secular ?
