Gaikwad angered over Gandhi’s statement about abolishing reservation

Buldhana – On 16^thSeptember, while speaking to the media, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad announced a reward of Rs 11 lakh to anyone who slashes Rahul Gandhi’s tongue for speaking against reservation.

Rahul Gandhi had expressed his views while speaking on the issue of reservation in the US. He said, “Congress will think of abolishing reservation when all get equal opportunities. Right now, there is no such possibility in India.” The opposition accused Gandhi of talking against reservation. In this context Gaikwad has announced the reward.

Sanjay Gaikwad added, “Maharashtra and the country are facing the burning issue of reservation. The backward class needs to come to the mainstream of the society, for which Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar has made a provision of reservation for the Backward class, tribals, OBC, and others in the Constitution. Rahul Gandhi goes to a foreign country and makes such statements. This reveals the real intentions of Congress and that they are restless. Since they want to abolish reservation, they mean to deprive all the Backward class, tribals, OBC and others of their rightful reservation. That is why I have made this announcement.”
