Kejriwal to resign as Chief Minister in next 2 days

New Delhi – Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that he will resign from the post of Chief Minister in the next 2 days while addressing the Aam Aadmi Party workers. On September 13, the Supreme Court granted bail to Kejriwal in the Delhi liquor scam case. He was in jail for the last 177 days. Arvind Kejriwal made the above announcement after coming out of jail. Kejriwal further said, “Some people are saying that the Supreme Court has imposed certain conditions while granting bail. Because of that, I will not be able work as the Chief Minister. In the previous year, the Union Government had imposed several. The Union Government tried to curtail our rights and powers by passing many laws. In the next 2 days, after resigning from the post of Chief Minister, I and Manish Sisodia will both go to the people of Delhi and interact with them. After that, if people think we are honest, they will re-elect us. Aam Aadmi Party Legislative Party meeting will be held in the next 2 days. In that meeting, another Aam Aadmi Party leader will be chosen as the chief Minister instead of me. Now until and unless the people of Delhi choose, I will not accept the post of Chief Minister.”

Editorial Perspective

By doing this, Kejriwal is trying to gain the sympathy of people. Looking at the number of corrupt and goons in his party, it should be banned from contesting the elections.
