Such festivals will help dispel misconceptions about Indian culture in the US : Purnima NathPurnima Nath, the founder of ‘Spindle India’, stated that the national flags of India and the United States were hoisted at the festival, symbolising the strong relationship, love, and respect between the two countries. This also encourages stronger cooperation between the nations. Unfortunately, there is still little awareness of Indian culture in the US. Hindu Dharma, with its features of research, innovation, inclusiveness, tolerance, and the world’s oldest living civilization, has not yet been fully accepted. Misconceptions about India and Indian culture still exist among the Americans. Events like this help to break down such barriers. |
