Muslims protest against Ramgiri Maharaj

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – Muslims are alleging that Ramgiri Maharaj insulted Prophet Mohammad during a program in Nashik, Maharashtra. Hundreds of Muslims protested against Ramgiri Maharaj here, demanding his arrest and imprisonment. They also gave a three-month ultimatum to the Union Government to enact a law against blasphemy in the country. The protestors warned, “If a law is not brought within the deadline, we will take action.” Previously, Muslims in various parts of Maharashtra had already protested against Ramgiri Maharaj.

This protest by Muslims took place at the Parade Ground in Dehradun. Organisations like the Muslim Sewa Sangathan, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, and Imam-e-Risalat organised this protest, which was named ‘Shan-e-Risalat’. Many Maulanas and Muftis from Uttarakhand participated in this protest.
