Demand for Maharaj’s arrest and enactment of a law against blasphemy
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – Muslims are alleging that Ramgiri Maharaj insulted Prophet Mohammad during a program in Nashik, Maharashtra. Hundreds of Muslims protested against Ramgiri Maharaj here, demanding his arrest and imprisonment. They also gave a three-month ultimatum to the Union Government to enact a law against blasphemy in the country. The protestors warned, “If a law is not brought within the deadline, we will take action.” Previously, Muslims in various parts of Maharashtra had already protested against Ramgiri Maharaj.
Dehradun, 1500 km away from Nashik!
Yet these thousands of people have assembled to denounce what #Ramgiri Maharaj has said. The aged maulana in the video is instigating people to take law in their hands.
