Attacks by Muslims lead to genocide of Hindus in Bangladesh : World Hindu Federation

Paris (France) – Hindus are being subjected to genocide in Bangladesh. Besides murdering Hindu leaders, Muslims are also burning houses and temples of Hindus, and abducting and raping Hindu women. Hindu Government officials and teachers are being forced to resign from their positions. These atrocities are ongoing in at least 53 Districts of Bangladesh, according to a report released by the Dhaka and Paris centres of the World Hindu Federation. The Federation has sent this report to Sanatan Prabhat.

According to this report, seven Hindus, including Hardhan Roy, Kajal Roy, Mrinal Kanti Chatterjee, Vasudev Das, Suman Gharami, Santosh Kumar, and one other, were killed. At least three Hindu girls were abducted, and two were raped. More than 63 Hindu temples were vandalised, looted, and set on fire, while houses of more than 295 Hindu families were destroyed. Additionally, 193 Hindu shops were looted and burnt. Moreover, nine Hindu teachers were forcibly removed from their posts.

Key incidents from the report detailing the genocide of Hindus :

1. Rangpur : Two Hindu corporators, Hardhan Roy and Kajal Roy, were murdered.

2. Shuktagram : At least 35 Hindu families were forced to flee their homes and are currently living under the open sky near the Navganga River.

3. Habiganj : A Hindu Police personnel named Santosh Kumar was brutally murdered.

4. Khulna : Another Hindu Police constable, Suman Gharami, was brutally beaten to death.

5. Kushtia : The Hindu Principal of Islamia College was assaulted and forced to resign.

6. Feni : The Bashpara Durga Temple was looted and set on fire.

7. Setabganj Bochaganj : Seven Hindu houses were attacked and looted.

8. Jashore : Ten Hindu homes in Dhopadi Palpada village were set on fire.

9. Keshavpur, Bechpada, and Burmanpada : Eight Hindu houses were attacked.

10. Monirampur (Jashore District) : Two Kali Mata temples and one Durga Devi temple were set on fire.

11. Tala : Upazila President Sanat Kumar Ghosh’s house looted and burnt. Shri Kali Mata Temple and Shri Harekrishna Temple looted and vandalised.

12. Bogra : Dr. Gautam Kumar Mondal’s house was attacked and looted.

13. Shakhari Bazar, Old Dhaka : Four temples and twelve Hindu houses were vandalised and looted. Folk singer Rahul Anand’s house was vandalised and set on fire, and about 3,000 of his musical instruments were destroyed.

14. Jhenaidah : Ten Hindu houses in the Chaklapada municipal area were attacked and looted.

15. Pabna : A Hindu girl was raped, and 10-12 Hindu houses were attacked and vandalised. Two Kali Mata temples were also vandalised.

16. Bagerhat : Mrinal Kanti Chatterjee was murdered, and his family members were seriously injured.

17. Shariatpur  : Journalist Dulal Saha’s house looted.

18. Lalmonirhat : The house of Panchayat member Amiya Prasad and five other Hindu families were attacked and looted.

19. Netrokona : The temples of Ramakrishna Mission and ISKCON were attacked and vandalised.

20. Chittagong : Two temples and 7-8 Hindu houses were looted. In Ravzhan village, four Hindu houses and five Hindu shops were looted and set on fire.
