New York (USA) – It was decided to include the float of Ayodhya’s Shriram Mandir in the 42nd India Day parade to be held here on 18th August. The organisers have said that anti-Hindus have started criticising the float of Shriram Mandir.
The Federation of Indian Associations, the organisers of the parade, issued a statement mentioning that they were organising a peaceful community festival, and it was unfair to scrutinise the same. It was unfortunate and hateful to conduct an inspection when our dedicated volunteers are putting in sincere efforts to make India Day a reality. Calling the inclusion of a sacred religious site, which is so important to millions of Hindus, as insulting, was unfortunate. Our question is, would insulting any religious place of another religious community be tolerated ? The answer is ‘No’.
