Outrageous statement of former Jammu & Kashmir CM Farooq Abdullah
Srinagar – Former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s outrageous statement about the Indian Army has sparked a new controversy. Farooq Abdullah has made a serious allegation that there is collusion between the armed forces stationed at the border of the country and the terrorists.
He has asked how infiltration is taking place despite deployment of security forces along the country’s borders. Drugs are also smuggled across the border. Farooq Abdullah was addressing party workers in Kishtwar District of Jammu & Kashmir.
He asked how terrorists are entering the country in hundreds. (There are numerous pro-Pakistani citizens in Kashmir, because of whom Pak-sponsored terrorists find it easy to carry out their nefarious activities in Kashmir. – Editor)
“Someone should be held accountable for this. The border security is the Union Government’s responsibility and the country’s Home minister and Defense minister should speak about this”, Farooq Abdullah added.
Farukh Abdullah’s allegations are unfortunate : Ghulam Nabi Azad
Ghulam Nabi Azad-led ‘Democratic Progressive Azad Party’ (DPAP) has objected to Farooq Abdullah’s outrageous statements. DPAP has said that it is unfortunate that Farooq Abdullah is questioning the bravery of the Indian Army. This statement of Farooq Abdullah is like raising a question mark on the bravery of the Indian Army which has made huge sacrifice for the country, said the spokesperson of DPAP Ashwani Handa.
Editorial PerspectiveIt will not be surprising if the nationalists demand that politicians who make such baseless accusations against the Indian Army and discourage the soldiers, be prosecuted for treason and put in jail. |
