Bombay High Court seeks information about the commercial use of residential houses at Vishalgarh

Mumbai – Bombay High Court has sought information about how many residential and commercial constructions in Vishalgarh were taken action, and how many constructions were used for commercial purposes. On 29th July, a bench of Justice Burgis Kulabawala and Justice Firdosh Puniwala heard the petition against the action against unauthorised constructions at Vishalgad in Kolhapur.

At this time, advocate Satish Talekar on behalf of the petitioners told the court that while taking action, action was also taken on some houses outside the protected area of Vishalgarh. The court asked for detailed information on this.

Action against perpetrators of violence impossible due to heavy rain and fog – Govt

Heavy rains and fog made it difficult to take action against the perpetrators of violence. No action has been taken against any residential unauthorised constructions in the fort area. Advocate General Birendra Saraf and Advocate Priyabhushan Kakade submitted an affidavit in the court on behalf of Rajya Shana that action was taken only against commercial establishments without judicial protection. Senior Police Inspector Vijay Gherde of Shahuwadi Police Station in Kolhapur was present on this occasion.

A case has been registered against 5 people including former MP Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje, Ravindra Padwal of ‘Hindu Bandhav Samiti’ in Pune for vandalising an unauthorised construction at Vishalgarh.
