Hezbollah air strikes Israel, 12 died

• Deadliest air attack in last ten months on Israel by Hezbollah

Tel Aviv, Israel – Hezbollah, Iran-sponsored terrorist organisation, carried out its deadliest attack on  Israel in the last ten months. A rocket attack Saturday on a soccer field in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights killed at least 12 and wounded 30 people. Among the dead are mostly children between 10 to 20 years.

Israel President Netanyahu, who was on a visit to the USA, cut short his visit and immediately returned on hearing about the attack. Though Hezbollah initially took the responsibility of this attack, it has later denied it.

Israeli defence force has claimed that ‘Falaq-1’ Iranian rocket was used for the attack and that it is used only by Hezbollah.

Israel attacked Tyre city in South Lebanon, a few days ago and the Hezbollah attack was probably in retaliation.

Israel Foreign Minister Israel Katz stated that Hezbollah has now crossed all the limits. Israel will certainly give an apt reply to this attack. Israel has reached almost the end of the war with the terrorist organisation.

What is Hezbollah ?

The meaning of the word ‘Hezbollah’ is ‘God’s party’. This organisation calls itself as a political, military and social organisation of Shia Muslims. Hezbollah is a powerful faction in Lebanon. Many nations including the USA have declared it as a terrorist organisation. In the beginning of the 1980 decade, Israel took over Lebanon when this organisation came into existence with the help of Iran. Thus, Hamas is a Palestinian terrorist organisation of Sunni Muslims, while Iran-sponsored Hezbollah is a terrorist organisation of Shia Muslims; but both the terrorist organisations have joined hands against Israel.
