Case filed against 40 people

Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) – Muslims started raising slogans of ‘Sar Tan se Juda’ (beheading of Hindus) as their Muharram procession reached Shri Hanuman Mandir in Rawatpur. The Police filed a case against 40 people for trying to disturb the communal harmony based on a video that became viral, informed assistant Police Commissioner Abhishek Kumar Pande.
‘Jihadi’ slogans raised outside BJP councillor’s house
In Parampurwa area of Kanpur too, ‘jihadi’ slogans were raised during Muharram procession outside BJP’s municipal councillor Vidya Varma’s house. One of the slogans was ‘Must say Allah-hu-Akbar (Allah is great) if wish to live in India’. Investigation into this incident is ongoing.
