Heavy rains may hit 23 Indian States in the next 5 days

New Delhi – Metrological Department has issued an alert of heavy downpour in 23 Indian States in the next 5 days. Flood waters have entered 800 villages of Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon rains are pouring over India. Badrinath Highway in Uttarakhand was closed for 83 hours due to landslide at Joshi Mutt. The pilgrims of Char Dham Yatra were trapped here for a long time.

Country-wide disaster

In Bihar, 21 people died because of lightening-strike in the last 24 hours. Lightening Strike has been the cause of 70 deaths in Bihar till now in the month of July.

More than 12 Lakh individuals affected by floods in Assam. To date 106 persons have lost their lives because of lightening strike.

Himachal Pradesh is facing continuous heavy downpour of rain.

The Metrological Department has given a red and orange alert in 23 Indian States for the next 5 days. They have predicted heavy to extremely heavy rains.

Sikkim, Bengal, Gujarat, Mumbai, Kokan, and Goa have recorded very heavy rains in many areas. While in Assam, Jharkhand, Chhattasgarh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Vidarbh, Central Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, and Andaman Nicobar have also recorded heavy rains.

Rajasthan’s Parbatsar in Nagaur District has recorded maximum rain measuring 89 mm, while Sepau in Dhaulpur District of Rajasthan has seen 65 mm of rain. 10 roads closed in Himachal Pradesh.
