A case of attempted murder filed against former Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy

Amravati, Andhra Pradesh – YSR Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with two IPS officers, faces an attempted murder charge. The complaint was filed by ruling TDP MLA Raghuram Krishna Raju.

MLA Raghuram Krishna Raju who was arrested in 2021, claims it was based on a false case. In his complaint, he stated, ‘I endured severe torture in custody. With the direction of then Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, Police Officer P.V. Sunil Kumar and others assaulted me with belts and sticks. Despite having a heart condition, I was denied medication.’

A case has also been filed against IPS officers P.V. Sunil Kumar and P.S.R. Sitaramanjaneyulu, as well as retired police officers R. Vijay Paul and G. Prabhavati.
