Trimbakeshwar (Nasik District) – It has been seen many times that the prasad offered by the devotees at many temples in the country, is found to be adulterated with prohibited items. This hurts the religious sentiments of the Hindus. A countrywide movement is being launched across the country to certify the purity of the prasad. For this, the sellers of Prasad will have to obtain an ‘Om certificate’ certifying the purity of the Prasad being sold in their shops. This concept has been conceived by the Sant, Mahant, and all the pro-Hindu organisations together. This will help prevent the adulteration of prasad and the increasing encroachment of the selling space around the temples by the members of the non-Hindu community. This information has been given by Shri Sharad Ponkshe a senior actor of Marathi Cinema, at a press conference.

He was speaking at a press conference at Trayambkeshwar Temple on 14 June at noon. At this time Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti Dharma Samaj, Maharashtra Kshetra President Mahant Acharya Pithadheshwar Dr Aniket Shastri Maharaj, Swatantraveer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak Chairman Shri Ranjit Savarkar, Shri Sunil Ghanwat, State Co-ordinator for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, together inaugurated the first phase of the ‘Om Certificate’ at Trimbakeshwar. Shri Ranjit Savarkar declared on behalf of ‘Om Pratishthan’ that this movement would be promoted throughout the country.

The ‘om Certificate’ shall be given after examining the purity of the ingredients of the prasad

This movement has been started to preserve the purity of the ingredients used in making the prasad. Before giving the ‘Om certificate’ examination of the purity of the ingredients used for making the prasad. ‘Om Prathishthan’ as a beginning in Trimbakeshwar examined the ingredients and issued the ‘Om certificate’ to the shop keepers selling prasad near the Jyotirlinga temple premises. The area’s shopkeepers also participated in this movement and so inaugurated the movement.

‘Shraddha Jihad’ is being done by the circulation of adulterated prasad, to corrupt the Hindu Dharma – Ranjit Savarkar, Chairman Svatantraveer Savarkar National Monument

(Intentional adulteration of prasad by mixing beef into it is called ‘Shraddha Jihad’)

The outstation devotees do not know where pure prasad is sold. In many outlets ‘Shraddha Jihad’ is being done by selling prasad adulterated with fat of cow meat. Pedhas comprised 75% cow fat, 25% khava and sugar. Packets of 100 grams are made and sold within the temple premises. The intention is to make Hindus sin by making them offer their Deities prasad that has beef in it. I got extremely agitated when I came to know this. After that, I spoke to Mahants and Dharmacharyas. There is spit jihad. There have been videos that show this. We are beginning this movement to stop this. All those who have joined this movement have joined it as a Hindu. No political party or organisation has taken part in this movement as such. There is no party politics in this movement.
