Paris (France) – France’s President Emmanuel Macron has dissolved the Parliament following a significant defeat for his party in the European Union elections. 1. According to exit polls, the National Rally Party is expected to secure 31.50% of the votes, while the ruling Renaissance Party is projected to receive only 15.20%. The Socialist Party is likely to come in third with 14.3% of the votes.
2. Parliamentary elections have been announced in France, with voting scheduled for 30th June and 7th July. After the European Union election results, National Rally leader Jordan Bardella called on Macron to dissolve the Parliament.
Marine Le Pen projected to become the future President of France

In the April 2022 presidential elections in France, Emmanuel Macron won in the second round of voting. In the first round, no candidate received 50% of the votes, necessitating a second round. Macron secured 58.5% of the votes in the second round, while Marine Le Pen received 41.5%. It is unprecedented in French history for a candidate to become President by securing 50% of the votes in the first round.
