Srinagar – The Lieutenant Governor of Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has dismissed four Government employees for providing weapons and aiding terrorist organisations such as the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen. The dismissed employees include Abdul Rehman Dar and Ghulam Rasool Bhat, both Constables, as well as Anayatullah Shah Pirzada, an assistant lineman of the Jal Shakti Department, and Shabir Ahmad Wani, a Government school teacher. Over the past five years, 55 Government officials and employees have been dismissed for their involvement in terrorist and separatist activities.

1. Abdul Rehman Dar and Ghulam Rasool Bhat, both residents of Tral in Pulwama District, were dismissed. They were supplying weapons and uniforms of security forces to terrorists.

2. Shabir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Kulgam, was an active member of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami organisation. Despite this, he was appointed as a teacher in the Education Department. He had connections with Hizbul Mujahideen and played a significant role in strengthening the Jamaat-e-Islami organisation in South Kashmir. After the killing of terrorist Burhan Wani, he played a key role in the violent protests in Kulgam and Shopian. He was inciting students with jihadist speeches.

3. Anayatullah Shah Pirzada, a resident of Baramulla, was working as an assistant lineman. He is an underground worker for the banned terrorist organisation Al Badr Mujahideen.

Editorial Perspective

Those who recruited such individuals and allowed them to remain in their positions for so long should be imprisoned for life.
