Bangladesh Movement Pak-US Connection: Movement leaders met Pakistani and US Officials in Qatar

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – According to a report from ‘North East News,’ various aspects of the information obtained from inside and outside Bangladesh by Indian national security agencies have revealed that some students, acting as ‘coordinators’ of Bangladeshi student organisations, had visited Pakistan, Dubai, and Qatar multiple times. During these visits, these student leaders met with intelligence and security officials from both Pakistan and the US. Under their leadership, violent protests erupted in Bangladesh this year, forcing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to resign and flee the country.

1. Muhammad Mahfuz Alam, who played a key role in the student protests in Bangladesh, has been appointed as the special assistant to the head of the Interim Government, Muhammad Yunus. Alam was among the students who visited Pakistani and American officials abroad last year.

2. To avoid raising suspicions with Bangladeshi intelligence agencies, the students were instructed to travel abroad on different dates.

3. A retired ISI lieutenant general was tasked with establishing contact with the Bangladeshi students. Operating under a pseudonym, this general made several visits to Bangladesh throughout the year. He met with the Bangladeshi student group at a hotel in Doha (Qatar) between April and September 2023. This occurred while the US State Department, particularly then-Ambassador Peter Haas, was exerting diplomatic pressure on the Sheikh Hasina Government for ‘free elections.’

4. Indian security officials suspect that some American citizens were staying at the same hotel in Doha as the Bangladeshi students and may have interacted with them.

5. There is suspicion that a professional from Bangladesh’s social development sector also met this retired general in Doha, along with the students. This person now holds a key position in the Interim Government.

6. Indian security experts noted that they had some information about these meetings but did not foresee the plot to overthrow the Hasina Government. One official disclosed that Sheikh Hasina had been warned in May 2024 about a US-backed conspiracy involving students and university professors, but she was unaware of the extent of the plot.

What was being said until now is true, and this is clearly evident from this ! The US and Pakistan are indeed enemies of India. They are also conspiring against India. Therefore, India needs to remain more vigilant against them, and as a counteraction, take steps against these countries. We must remember that offence is the best defence.
