New Delhi – British journalist Sam Stevenson has informed that media outlets in London and across Europe are broadcasting negative stories about India. Stevenson, who is currently in India to cover the Lok Sabha electios, expressed concern over the biased portrayal of the country by the European media.

Stevenson added,

1. The European media is portraying India as being deeply divided along religious lines; however, this narrative does not reflect the reality on the ground. In fact, at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rallies, it is common to see Muslim women wearing burqas, highlighting the coexistence and participation of different communities in public events.

2. British media often portray Prime Minister Narendra Modi as anti-Islamic. However, when journalists from the UK visit India and speak with Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, and others, they find a different reality. They see that India embraces all cultures and religions, reflecting a society that is far more inclusive than depicted.

3. Unity is evident in a great and wonderful country like India. I am here to broadcast the truth about this nation to the British media. My mission is to uncover the truth, gather facts, and share them in London. There is a lot of positive news about India that needs to be shared with the world.

4. The entire Europe and the West have a wrong perception of India, with many negative things being said about the country. This is a shame. People should come to India and see everything with their own eyes, talk to the grassroots people here. Then they will realise that their assumptions are wrong. Both India and Britain have the potential to become world powers for the good of all. Both countries possess a rich culture, heritage and history.
