State Government should appeal to find the mastermind : Sharad Pawar

The usual whining of so-called progressive politicians

Sharad Pawar

We were anxious that the verdict of the Dabholkar murder case took so many years. At least there is some verdict. Dabholkar’s soul should get some justice. Although the killers are punished, the mastermind escaped. The State Government should appeal for that. (Pawar was at the forefront of instilling the myth of Hindu terrorism in the public mind. This myth has been debunked by the Court verdict. Will Pawar now seek forgiveness from Hindus ? – Editor)

We must once again hold onto rational thoughts – Jitendra Awhad, leader of the Sharad Pawar faction

Jitendra Awhad

We welcome the verdict of the Dabholkar murder case after a long wait of 11 years. Feeling proud of Dabholkar family and all the activists of ANS for the fight they have put up. Today, the entire nation is fed up with empty rhetoric, deception, and religious posturing, and is once again on the path of rational thinking. Some rabid people may have finished Dr Dabholkar off, but they could not finish his thoughts. Let the voice of rationality rise loud. (Politicians behaving like thugs are now using the language of rationality is a big joke – Editor)

The mastermind must be punished – MLA Rohit Pawar, Sharad Pawar faction

Rohit Pawar

Thanks to the Court for sentencing the accused Sharad Kalaskar and Sachin Andure to life imprisonment in the murder case of Dr Narendra Dabholkar, the founder of Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti. But it is sad that some of the accused were acquitted and the Government failed to substantiate the charges against them. The accused must be punished but the mastermind in this matter has remained unscathed. They must also be punished by the law. (The mastermind of the Dabholkar case will be revealed in due course but numerous scams took place during the tenure of the NCP. The public is eager to know who is mastermind behind those scams ? – Editor)

Casteist opinions about the verdict

The verdict was being discussed in some groups on social media about acquittals and convictions. “Those acquitted are upper caste, while convicts belong to the Bahujan community. Individuals from Bahujan community are used and trapped,” such casteist reactions were expressed in the discussion.
