‘Covaxin’ is safe and has no side effects

While questions are being raised against Covishield, ‘Bharat Biotech’, the makers of ‘Covaxin’, clarify their stand

New Delhi – Bharat Biotech, the manufacturer of the Corona preventive vaccine ‘Covaxin’, posted on ‘X’, ‘Our vaccine is safe. While developing it, our first priority was the safety of the people, then the quality of the vaccine. ‘Bharat Biotech has given this explanation about its vaccine while ‘Covishield’ is being questioned. Due to the use of ‘Covishield’, blood clots are formed in the body. AstraZeneca, the company that manufactures it, has admitted in a London Court that it can lead to heart disease.

The company said that ‘Covaxin’ is the only vaccine in the Government of India’s ‘Covid- 19’ vaccine programme, which has been tested in India. Covaxin was tested on 27,000 people as part of the vaccine licensing process.
