A change in ‘electronic interlocking’ led to Coromandel Express being diverted to a track on which goods train was stationary. A green signal was also given for it.

Signals and the routes were set for both the crossing trains. The signals were green, which means their routes were clear. Permissible speed for these trains is 130 kmph.
