Killing the children will not change Hamas’s stand – Hamas leader

Tel Aviv (Israel) – On the night of 10th April, an airstrike conducted by Israel in the Al-Shati area of the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of 3 children, 3 grandchildren of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the terrorist organisation Hamas, and one other individual. They were all travelling in a four-wheeler at the time of the attack. According to the Israeli military, all three of Haniyeh’s children were involved in terrorist activities. Amir Haniyeh served as a squad commander in Hamas, while Hazem and Mohammad Haniyeh held positions as directors within the organisation. It was reported that all three individuals were en route to launch an attack in central Gaza.
Regarding the killing of children, Ismail Haniyeh said, “I thank Allah for this honour with which he honoured us with the martyrdom of my three sons and some grandchildren.” Haniyeh also affirmed that “Hamas will not surrender and will continue to attack Israel. Their (Israeli) blood will be shed for the freedom of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. We will remain steadfast on this path. By shedding their blood, we will secure our people a better future and freedom. Our demands are clear. If the enemy thinks that discussions can bring about some change, they are mistaken. If they think that killing my children will compel Hamas to change its stand, they are delusional. The blood of my children holds no greater value than that of any Palestinian child. I have 13 children. I have endured the same suffering as my fellow Palestinians.”
