BJP wants more than 400 seats only to change the Constitution : Prakash Ambedkar, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi

Prakash Ambedkar

Mumbai – 300 seats are enough to run the country. 400 seats are needed only to change the Constitution. Prakash Ambedkar of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi made a statement that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh had taken an oath in the year 1950 that ‘if given an opportunity, we will change the Constitution’. He was speaking in the background of BJP’s announcement of ‘400 Par’ for this year’s elections.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi is unable to resolve the rift between them. They offered us only 4 seats, so I am returning those seats to them. Congress should give us information about 7 seats where Congress candidates will be elected. We will definitely help them, he also said this time.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Congress has already changed the Constitution by inserting new words. If new words can be inserted into it, what is the problem in removing those and adding new ones ?

  • If democracy is ‘rule by the people for the people’, then is it not appropriate to do what is necessary for the welfare of the people ?
