Robbed Rs 3 crore at gunpoint

New Delhi – Mehraj, a Bangladeshi dacoit got injured during a Police encounter. He has been arrested by Delhi Police. He was a wanted criminal in several cases.  Last year he had carried out a major robbery in Delhi. His accomplice Shahid has also been arrested.

On 15th March 2024, in Dhulsiras area, the Delhi Police had laid a trap to nab the dacoits. A skirmish followed, as the dacoits opened fire as soon as they saw the Police. In retaliation the Police opened fire and during this firing Mehraj’s leg got hit. The bullet fired by Mehraj injured Police Inspector, Akshay, said the Police. Mehraj is a citizen of Bangladesh and there are 5 criminal cases filed against him. Last year he had carried out a robbery in Ashok Vihar residence of a businessman and looted Rs 3 crore at gunpoint. There was a case filed against him at Ashok Nagar Police Station. A reward of Rs 2 lakh was announced on him.
