Sambhal (Uttar Pradesh) – Deity Kalki will be the last incarnation of Deity Vishnu. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the proposed mandir of Deity Kalki here. State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present on the occasion. As per the scriptures, Deity Kalki will be born in Sambhal. There was a Kalki Mandir 500 years ago at this place, but it was demolished and replaced by Shahi Jama Masjid, by Babur, similar to how he built a mosque by demolishing Shriram Mandir in Ayodhya. Babur also built Kabuli Bagh mosque at Panipat. It was built to commemorate his victory over Ibrahim Lodi, and he named the mosque after his wife, Kabuli Begum.

As per the historians, Babur’s confidante Mir Baqi (Baig) destroyed Kalki Mandir in 1528 and built the mosque on the remains of the mandir. Even today, the remains of the mandir are seen on the walls of Kalki Mandir and other structures.
