One person killed in an attack on a Hindu family by a mob of Muslims in Sabarkantha, Gujarat

Attack over money dispute

Sabarkantha (Gujarat) – Raju Bhoi was killed when a mob of Muslims attacked a Hindu family with sticks and iron bars in Khodiar Kuva Motamadh area over a money dispute. The incident took place on 14th February after 10 p.m. Police have registered a case against 30 people after this incident. Due to this incident, all the markets here have been closed.

The attacker Muslims were residents of Bhattiwala and Jambuchora areas. The mob dragged Raju Bhoi out of the house and hit him on the head with an iron rod. A vehicle was also vandalised. It is claimed that the mob switched off the street lights before the attack.

The Police have registered a case against Ayaz Qureshi, Munaf Qureshi, Ayub Qureshi, Rashid Miyan, Imran Mian Qureshi, Maqbool Miyan Qureshi, Jani Kamruddin, Rais Miyan Mehboob Khan, Malek, Sameer, Manan Haroon, Nisar’s brother, Rafiq Bhatti, Nisar Miyan, Babu Akbar, Yunus Miyan and Firoz Mian.

The Bajrang Dal has also alleged that the Muslims pelted stones at the house of Raju Bhoi. Hindu organisations have demanded that bulldozers be run on the houses of the accused in this case.
