Thane/Panvel (Maharashtra) – Following the protest by Muslim fanatics to hoist the saffron flag at Panvel railway station on the night of 21st January and the attack on the procession at Mira Road, fanatical Muslims rioted at 5 places in Maharashtra on 22nd January. They attacked Hindus at Kalyan, Mira Road (District Thane), Panvel, Nagpur, and Raver (District Jalgaon).
Around 200 religious fanatics threaten Hindus by smashing vehicles in Kalyan
Kalyan – Fanatical Muslims vandalised cars having flags with ‘Jai Shriram’ written on them near Durgadi Fort. 200 religious fanatics vandalised vehicles near Chirag Restaurant in the Retibunder area on 21st January. These vehicles were stopped and kicked, and the sticks of saffron flags on the vehicles were broken. These fanatics also threatened the Hindu drivers by breaking their vehicles’ glass. (It is unfortunate for Hindus to get attacked in a Hindu-majority country while celebrating the restoration of their Deity’s Temple ! – Editor) After the above incident, tension in the area increased.
The Police forced the Hindus to move or dispose of the damaged vehicles, and Police officer Sachin Gunjal told the Hindus to put aside the cars as they caused traffic congestion and that this was the festival for all of us. Another Deputy Commissioner of Police tried hard to disperse the Hindus. The Police also accused Hindus of saying, ‘You are doing this on purpose. Why are you not listening’ ? Videos of all these incidents have come out.
The incident took place in the area under the jurisdiction of Bazarpeth Police Station. At this time, 300 devout Hindus of VHP, Bajrang Dal, etc. were gathered. As Hindus took a firm stand that ‘we will not leave until the crime is registered against Muslims’, the Police finally had to give in and register the crime. ‘The crime will be registered, and action will be taken’, they assured. Another attack by fanatical Muslims in Panvel
Panvel – A bike rally was held in Panvel on the morning of 22nd January. It was attacked by fanatical Muslims. While moving towards Panvel from Kharghar, these fanatics attacked the rally from the rear when it reached the Mohalla area of Panvel. 3 Hindus were seriously injured in this attack. They vandalised Innova and Fortuner cars, as well as two-wheelers. One was stabbed in the back and one in the head.
Following this incident, 50 to 60 activists including BJP MLA Prashant Thakur and PWP leader Pritam Mhatre met the youth in the hospital and demanded action against the accused. A large number of Police personnel have been deployed in the city.

Stone pelting on the procession of Hindus at Raver
Fanatical Muslims suddenly started pelting stones at the procession of Hindus in Raver, Jalgaon. This created confusion among the Hindus. The Police have reportedly arrested 15 people in this case. After the incident, the Police deployed its force in the area.
Hindu boys chanting ‘Jai Shriram’ were stone pelted and beaten up while passing through the Muslim-majority area in Nagpur
Nagpur – On 22nd January during the consecration ceremony being celebrated in Ayodhya with enthusiasm, some Hindu boys were chanting ‘Jai Shriram’ from the Mominpura area in Nagpur. At that time, slippers were thrown at them from the place of worship. These Hindu boys were walking to see the Hanuman temple in Chhoti Khadan. On the way to Bhagvaghar Chowk from there, the above incident took place in the Mominpura area.
Following that, when the boys stopped there and started questioning the local people, more than 30 fanatical Muslims gathered there. They heavily beat up a 14-year-old Hindu boy. Other boys took the injured boy to Bhagvaghar Chowk. After that, hundreds of Hindus gathered at Bhagvaghar Chowk. They started going towards the Mominpura area. After this, there was a lot of tension in central Nagpur. There was a lot of tension in the area for more than 2 hours. Police intervened to defuse the tension. The Rapid Action Force, Riot Control Team and armed Police force were immediately deployed in the Mominpura area. After some time, the Police appealed to maintain peace through loudspeakers.

In Kalyan, a case has been registered against a religious fanatic who created religious disharmony by changing the song of Shriram
Thane – A religious fanatic from the Barave village of Kalyan altered a song dedicated to Shriram by adding words that would hurt the sentiments of Hindus and circulated it on social media. In this case, Shyam Mirkute, a resident of Barave village, filed a complaint at Khadakpada Police Station. (Such dutiful citizens are the real strength of Hinduism ! – Editor) As soon as the complaint was filed, the Khadakpada Police registered a case against Shahnawaz Muhammad Shabbir Shaikh alias Shanu Shaikh (age 31 years) and are conducting further investigation.
