Gopalganj (Bihar) – Another case of ‘Love Jihad’ has recently surfaced in Bihar’s Gopalganj, in which, a Muslim youth identified as Tabrez Alam lured a Hindu girl into love affair and sexually abused her. Alam established physical relations with the victim Hindu girl by promising to marry her. He then tried to forcefully convert the Hindu victim, but the girl refused him. The victim Hindu girl has lodged a complaint with the Police in this regard.The accused forced the victim to have an abortion, the victim said in the complaint. Based on the complaint filed by the victim girl, the Police have registered a case against Tabrez Alam and are searching for him. The accused is currently absconding.
Editorial PerspectiveThe Union Government must now take the initiative to ensure that death penalty is imposed in cases of love jihad. Hindus should not just stop at ‘Ek Hai, Toh Safe Hai’, but should put pressure on the Government to prevent such incidents ! |
