After returning from a China tour, the President of Maldives Muizzu threatens India without taking name

Male (Maldives) – The Maldives may be a small island nation, but that does not allow others to ‘bully’ the country, President Mohamed Muizzu said on 13th January, just as he arrived in Male, after a five-day State visit to China. He further noted in his media statement that the Indian Ocean ‘does not belong to one particular country’, and that the Maldives ‘is not in anyone’s backyard’.
President Muizzu went to China when the dispute between India and Maldives occurred. His Ministers had made offensive statements against India and Prime Minister Modi. The Ministers were suspended following India’s protest.

India should show Maldives through action that Maldives’ threat to India using China’s support is self-destruction. Until then, China won’t get the right message. |
