Bareilly (UP) – A 33-year-old private school teacher named Neha Asmat embraced Hindu Dharma stating that ‘there is no respect for women in Islam’. She took the blessings of Shri Mahakal in Ujjain and declared that she had accepted Hindu Dharma. She renamed herself as Neha Singh.
Neha’s family had registered a complaint at the Baradari Police station and suspected that Neha was abducted by Mohit Singh, Neha’s colleague. Neha Singh has appealed to the SP Bareilly Police, District Collector and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the protection of her own and friend Mohit Singh. She claimed that ‘There is a threat to her and Mohit’s life’.
Neha stated in a letter that, ‘My family had decided to marry me to a married Muslim man. I was not ready for this marriage. I left my home as they were pressurising me. My family members filed a false case against Mohit Singh. It was my wish and choice to leave my house. I have accepted Sanatan Dharma without any coercion’.
